Understanding Ubico Credits

In this article, you'll learn about the Ubico Credit System

What Are Credits?

Credits in Ubico act as the internal currency required for performing data-related actions inside the platform.

They are only used for:

  • Sourcing new data
  • Enriching existing data with Ubigent
  • Cleaning data
  • Validating email addresses
  • Identifying new website visitors

Credits are not used for:

  • Running campaigns
  • Sending emails
  • Uploading your own contact lists

How Many Credits Does Each Action Use?

Tracking Your Credits

You can monitor your remaining credits and see usage history by going to:
Settings → Billing → Credit Usage
(Note: Only Admins can access this page.)

Subscription Types & Credit Policies

Monthly Plan: Credits allocated monthly. ⚠️ Unused credits roll-over for a maximum of 2 months.
Annual Plan: All credits provided upfront. Not tied to billing cycles, use anytime

Billing cycle remains unchanged when purchasing credit add-ons

Additional Credits:

200 credits = $100/mo ($0.5 / credit)

1000 credits = $250/mo ($0.25 / credit)

2000 credits = $400/mo ($.20 / credit)

5000 credits or more = custom pricing

Best Practices & Tips

  • Plan your usage: With monthly plans, unused credits are lost. Keep an eye on your usage to maximize value.
  • Annual option flexibility: The annual plan allows conservative or opportunistic use since all credits are available upfront.
  • Manage Add-ons Smartly: Need more credits? Adding them doesn’t reset your billing, great for reactive scaling.
  • Keep a close tab on usage: Admins should regularly check the Credit Usage section to ensure efficient consumption.

Ubico credits are essential for unlocking powerful capabilities like data enrichment and validation. Your allocation and usage depend on your subscription model and regardless of plan type, you can always purchase more credits without altering your billing cycle.
