Ubico is built with data security and privacy at its foundation. Here is an overview of the protections in place to keep your data safe.

Email integration and security

Email is integrated through Nylas, which is SOC2 certified, GDPR compliant, EU Privacy Shield certified, and HIPAA ready. Nylas undergoes regular third-party audits and penetration tests.

  • Account data is isolated with multi-level permission checks at both the application and service layers.
  • All API calls require proprietary OAuth2 authentication tokens issued by Nylas.
  • User data is encrypted at rest using enterprise-grade standards.
  • TLS is enforced for all public and private networks, with certificates signed by well-known certificate authorities.
  • Only limited security personnel have access to decryption keys for debugging purposes.
Physical security

Ubico is hosted on AWS, which provides robust physical data center security and environmental controls.

Data usage

Ubico does not mine or access your data for advertising purposes.

Data privacy

Customer data is only used to provide the service. Ubico does not access your account without your permission.

Data ownership

Your data belongs to you. Ubico will not delete data from your account without giving you time to export it first.

Third-party integrations

OAuth2 is used to securely authorize connected services. Ubico does not store your username or password for any third-party service.

Common questions
  • Why do I need to connect my email account? Ubico needs access to send emails on your behalf and to detect replies from your workflow contacts.
  • Does whitelisting Google Workspace give Ubico access to all users? No. Whitelisting allows team members to individually sync their own accounts. Only synced accounts are authenticated.
  • Does Ubico read all my emails? No. Ubico only accesses emails related to contacts tracked in the platform — data generated by Ubico, data you import, and CRM data you integrate.
  • Can I get my data out? Yes. Contact support to request an export or deletion of your data.
