Ubico Alternate Domain Add-on FAQ
Q1: How long does it take for the emails to be ready?
A: It takes about 3 weeks to warm-up the emails. We will have significant back end work: adjusting the DNS settings for better deliverability in the warm-up phase, setting up IP addresses, ISPs, working on updates from Google/Outlook for 100% matching a new policy and connecting automation for controlling your future email campaigns.
Q2: Can I transfer the ownership?
A: Yes, ownership of the domain and mailbox setup can be transferred upon request. Once the warm-up phase is complete and any outstanding invoices are paid, we can initiate a full transfer to your domain registrar or email provider account. Note that certain settings or automation flows may need to be reconfigured post-transfer.
Q3: Why does the warm-up take so long?
A: Email warm-up is a gradual process to build sender reputation with inbox providers like Gmail and Outlook. Sending too many emails too soon can lead to your messages being flagged as spam or blocked. We follow a structured approach that mimics organic sending behavior to ensure long-term deliverability and trust with ISPs.
Q4: Why can't I just do this myself?
A: While it's technically possible to set up and warm up a domain yourself, doing it incorrectly can damage your sender reputation and impact deliverability. Our team manages everything — from complex DNS configurations and ISP compliance to automation flows and monitoring — saving you time and reducing risk. We’ve optimized this process based on years of experience and industry best practices.
Q5: Does the reputation stay consistent?
A: Yes — as long as the domain is used according to best practices. We build a strong sender reputation during warm-up, but maintaining that reputation depends on sending behavior going forward (e.g., avoiding spammy content, high bounce rates, or excessive volume spikes). We also provide guidance to help you maintain high deliverability over time.
