The Ubico integration with Salesforce makes it easier than ever to push your leads from Ubico to Salesforce along with all workflow data and enriched profile data. This is the foundation for creating powerful workflows within Salesforce directly.

In this article, we are going to take you through the step-by-step process of connecting your Salesforce account to Ubico and performing the setup. Below are the steps:

  1. Ensure the Ubico team is set up and workflows are active in the Ubico dashboard

  2. Make sure you have the right Salesforce permissions

  3. Add Ubico custom fields for tracking workflow data and enriched contact information.

  4. Connect Ubico users to Salesforce through our 1-click Authentication

  5. Done!

1. Before completing the Salesforce integration, please ensure the following has been completed.

  • You have at least 1 workflow sending and toggled ‘on’ in the Ubico dashboard.

  • The users with active workflows have Salesforce login credentials as each user will have an ID that is used to assign lead owners in Salesforce.

2. You’ll need 3 permissions in Salesforce to enable the connection and create the custom fields. This is typically done by a CRM admin.

  1. Customize Application

  2. API enabled or API User

3. Add Ubico custom fields.

We have over 40 data fields that you can choose to include to be pushed to your Salesforce instance for every lead. Data types range from workflow stats such as open, replied, reply category as well as enriched contact information such as technology tags, company tags and more. Refer to the CSV provided for all the Salesforce Field Names and the field type.

The field names must be an exact match for us to be able to push the data, also be careful when setting up the fields to ensure the field types are a match as well.

4. Connect Ubico users to Salesforce

Once you’ve added the Ubico custom fields, it’s time to add your Salesforce account to Ubico. Follow our quick guide here on connecting each user's Salesforce to Ubico. Important to note that each active user should connect their Salesforce account in order to have all lead data pushed to Salesforce.

5. Complete! At this point, please reach out to your account manager to schedule a 15-minute test session and ensure all fields you wish to track are being tracked correctly.

Data is pushed every day and allows CRM admins to create powerful workflows and segmentation.

If you run into any issues, please reach out to support@ubico.io or your account manager to troubleshoot any errors immediately.
